Every year, countless hours and significant resources are lost because of poorly written code. The book is titled Clean Code: A Handbook of Agile Software Craftsmanship. I meant to write about this book when I first read it last year but I never got around to it and I'm happy that I finally got a chance after my second read this past Christmas break. Reference: Clean Code: A Handbook of Agile Software Craftsmanship by Robert Martin. Test just one concept per test function; Clean tests follow five rules (F.I.R.S.T).: Fast; Independent; Repeatable; Self-validating; Timely. This has improved the way I think about code like no other. But if code isn't clean, it can bring a development organization to its knees.
